NEWS: INFO ALERT – Lenny Mendonca Meets with Businesses in Los Angeles

Posted September 16th, 2019

On September 12th, GO-Biz Director and Governor Newsom’s Chief Economic and Business Advisor Lenny Mendonca joined the business community in Los Angeles for a panel discussion hosted by the Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator (LACI), to discuss the benefits of expanding a business in California, and state resources available to do so. This is the first event in a statewide effort.

Also part of this very informative panel was Isabel Guzman, Director of the Office of the Small Business Advocate, Jay Goth, Managing Partner at Murrieta Genomic, Kaina Pereira, Assistant Deputy Director of CalBIS, and Kusum Kavia, Co-Founder and President, Combustion Associates, Inc. and Member of Entrepreneurship Task Force. They each gave unique insight to the challenges businesses face at the state level and how we can overcome them to a crowd of 60+ businesses.

On behalf of BizFed, we would like to thank Jonathan Parfray with Climate Resolve and Vice President of the BizFed Institute, Judy Kruger and Carolyn Hull with the LAEDC, and Matthew Peterson, Clare Le and Michael Swords with the LA Clean Tech Incubator for helping organize an excellent event.

BizFed is encouraged by GO-Biz’s proactive approach to be a better resource for businesses across the state. We look forward to continuing to work with Lenny Mendonca, Isabel Guzman, and the GO-Biz team to make sure business voices are heard and supported.
