(Los Angeles, CA 2/3/2026) — The Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit BizFed Institute (BFI) announced today that Kevin Harbour has been named Chief Executive Officer. Harbour, who has served as BFI President for the past seven years, will lead the organization’s continued growth and impact across Southern California.
As CEO, Harbour will advance BFI’s mission by bringing together public and private sector leaders to address critical regional priorities, including workforce development, water resiliency, broadband connectivity, housing, transportation and goods movement, and artificial intelligence, among other emerging issues.
Harbour will also continue expanding BFI’s signature programming, including the BuildUP LA event series and the upcoming Business Access to Funding Summit on Thursday, March 26, featuring regional thought leaders and industry experts.
A seasoned business and nonprofit executive, Harbour brings more than 30 years of experience across IT, telecommunications, and emerging technologies, including leadership roles with Xerox, Digital Equipment Corporation/HP, Verizon, and Black Box Corporation. He previously served as UCLA Alumni Director of Corporate Strategic Partnerships and is former Chair of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles/Orange County Regional Broadband Collaborative (LA/OCRBC).

Harbour is a UCLA alumnus and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He served on the Advisory Council of MoveLA and was elected Chair of the CA Jobs First Steering Committee (formerly known as CERF) in October 2023. Harbour also sits on the advisory board of UC Extension.
